J.E. Van Wig Elementary School is home to the Wildcats! Our students, teachers, parents and staff are WILD about learning and attaining excellence in student achievement 

 Van Wig Elementary Wildcats are great students who learn in an academic atmosphere where high expectations are the norm. Any student who attends Van Wig Elementary is taught by highly qualified teachers via state and district adopted core curriculum. Caring, dedicated and professional staff are determined to support ALL students at Van Wig Elementary. With all members of the school community pulling together, the students, teachers, parents and staff continue to make remarkable gains in state-wide assessments. We began this new school year boasting a 44 double-digit Academic Performance Index (API) increase! Although our API is 791 today, we are determined to surpass 800 and beyond!

Van Wig Elementary School is an exceptional learning community where we strive to work together as a team! We are together in our endeavors to provide ALL students the opportunity to achieve academic milestones and encounter success as they move forward towards their own life goals.
